YourTown Towntalk is a highly successful part of the national TownTalk network of town centre web sites offering a wide range of information for shoppers, visitors and residents. It was established in 1999 and has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of an urban regeneration initiative that is helping towns and cities throughout Britain become totally digital. Now for the first time, we’re extending the Project and opening up franchise opportunities for talented local entrepreneurs.

We’re inviting enquiries from potential franchisees who will operate an exclusive territory, providing local businesses with the opportunity to advertise themselves on Towntalk and to each have their very own micro-site which they can operate themselves to actively promote their businesses, including events, special offers, job vacancies – they can even sell their products on line.

Advertising on the web site is inexpensive; far cheaper than advertising in the local newspaper, for example, and it’s also highly effective.

For the franchisee there’s the opportunity to earn a significant income, but you must be an efficient communicator, be highly self-motivated and have a basic understanding of computers and the internet.

It’s important that we look after our local businesses and make sure that we service them professionally. It’s hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun. Creating restaurant guides, entertainment reviews, etc. all help to rekindle the interest in our town centres. You’ll be making a real difference to the economy of the town AND you’ll not only be making a healthy profit, but you’ll also be building a sustainable business for yourself that will grow into a saleable asset.
